This speech delves into the tricky arena of trying to work through the concept of ‘Forgiveness’. It was first launched at The Finesse Voelgoed Expo in March 2010 to great acclaim.
Natasha says at the outset of the Talk:
‘Before we start I want to give a little disclaimer right here right now. Just because I am standing up here chatting to you about this tender topic does not mean that I am a guru in the matter. It does not mean I have mastered this precarious art. I am human. I am flawed. But I am trying! And today I want us to simply explore this taboo subject. And try and get to grips with the barriers and benefits that Forgiveness presents. ‘
This speech picks its way through common misconceptions about the topic. The core message on seeking out the holistic and practical merits of Forgiveness is delivered in a frank manner with gentle humour.
This Talk explores the following ‘F’ word categories:
- Fragility or Fear / Breekbaar en Bevrees (Does Forgiveness make you weak?)
- Fortitude / Krag ( Understanding how our intentions shape our outcome)
- Flippen Sore / Eish Eina ( Working through crisis)
- Friend or Foe / Vriend of Vyand (How debunking the victim / villain theory empowers us)
- Faith / Vertroue (exploring the elements of Forgiveness versus Trust)
- Face to Face / Spieelbeeld (How taking ownership is key to living in our potential)
- Fait Accompli / Aanvaarding (Exploring the impact surrender and acceptance has in personal growth)
